Why do end users use GREENGUARD-certified products?
Because building products like high-pressure laminates and ITW TACC contact adhesives were in use prior to GREENGUARD, many end users are not aware they are using GREENGUARD-certified products. When specified, end users can go to GREENGUARD to find certified products and print certificates for their customers’ building construction documentation.
End users increasingly are turning to GREENGUARD for safe solutions due to regulatory requirements or personal preference.
Where is GREENGUARD specified in building requirements?

What does GEI do to promote GREENGUARD?
GEI lobbies governmental and private organizations (EPA, USGBC) to get its standard specified in requirements. GEI also partners with appropriate associations and initiatives as a way to promote the GREENGUARD name to specifiers and new potential manufacturers.
Manufacturers of GREENGUARD Certified products are licensed to use the GREENGUARD certification mark to promote their products.
